Casa Maca ibiza
Born from the popularity of Ibiza’s famous sunset spot, Café Mambo, Case Maca is part of a collection of independently owned restaurants, hotels and bars that owners the Anadon family went on to open. The collection also includes Hostal La Torre, Cala Gracioneta, La Cava, and Villa Mercedes and like Casa Maca, they are all making their mark in creating authentic, experience-led dining, drinking and accommodation destinations.
Casa Maca is a unique restaurant with rooms in a beautiful rural location that looks across to Ibiza Old Town and the sea beyond. Set in a 300 year old farmhouse, it offers seasonal farm-to-table cuisine and country charm with modern touches, whilst also being within minutes of some of the island’s best nightlife, beaches and marinas.
Open all year round, Casa Maca – which translates to beautiful house in the local Ibizan dialect – welcomes diners and guests like a family home, offering authentic experiences and personalised service. The bright airy terrace of the restaurant and the open air dining space are the focal points of any visit. And their special atmosphere is evocative of the energy the island is so well known for.
Whether breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the menus fuse global gastronomy with local, organic ingredients. The talented executive chef combines current culinary trends with Spanish classics and hotel favourites, and a three course Menu del Día (menu of the day) is an ever-changing delight based on what produce is available. Breakfast is also served until 12pm, which for those sampling the island’s nightlife or just taking it very easy, is always greatly appreciated.
The open-air dining space plays host to an impressive grill. Fresh meat, fish and vegetables hang over an open fire and diners relax to a soundtrack of chill out music with a world influence twist and welcoming conversation while sipping on cocktails served from the aluminium Airstream bar.
For those guests choosing to stay at Casa Maca, there are 10 suites peppered across the grounds including eight junior suites and two larger suites. Each of the suites varies in decoration but typical Ibizan style and rustic chic furnishings give a sense of place, while contemporary additions such as air-conditioning and Marshall radios offer the comfort guests require. The expansive bathrooms are consciously kitted out with paraben-free, certified organic botanical products by Grown Alchemist, meaning zero impact on the local environment.
Days can be spent by the pool or enjoying the privacy of the suites’ gardens or terraces, where guests can choose to book massages, facials and even private yoga classes.
Casa Maca can also be booked exclusively for weddings. The English-speaking wedding team, which has been working on the island for over 25 years, can arrange every detail of the celebration.
